Friends,
Well, it wasn't the most exciting game of the day, but it happened to be the most important...if you are a TCU Horned Frog fan. Not many folks were giving TCU (from non-automatic BCS qualifying conference, the Mountain West...thus the "little guys" expression) a chance against Big 10 (12?) powerhouse, Wisconsin...they of the huge O line and giant running backs. The Badgers running backs had their yards, for certain, but at the end of the day...the scoreboard said, TCU 21, Wisconsin 19. The Frogs capped an eventful, undefeated, 13-0 campaign in 2010, and are certain to move up to be the #2 team in the country following next week's national championship game between Auburn and Oregon. It would be great to see how TCU would be able to do against the winner of that game. Now, (here I go again), if the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) had a playoff, like the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision), then we would really know who would be the national champ...but, since we do not, TCU will not ever have that opportunity to prove itself this year. I believe that star QB, Andy Dalton and coach Gary Patterson have the best team in the country...c'est la vie. Now, about this coach Patterson...he has to be the most underrated coach in the country, yet, all he does is put together 10, 11, 12 and...as is the case this year...13 win seasons. Yet, you never hear anything about him...it is amazing how invisible he is in so many ways. He will eventually get his due, but...a big kudos to him and the Horned Frogs for a terrific season, even if they will only be #2.
Blessings,
Don
